A stylish, modern living space, the American Oak adds a touch of warmth to the contemporary design.
Our client wanted something fresh and different. A design that would be flexible and work as a family living space every day but also be a fabulous place to entertain friends. A winning combination of American Oak veneer and gloss white finished off with quartz worktop in Carrara Misterio create a modern twist on a classic design.
The open shelving adds an interesting element and a place to display decorative pieces to add individuality to the room.
A roller shutter unit has also been incorporated which hides the microwave. These units are great for helping to clear clutter for your worktop whilst still allowing small appliances to be in easy reach.
One of the biggest design challenges for this room was the structural column which couldn't be moved. It was decided to incorporate this into the kitchen island so that the size of the island was not compromised. The solution has worked particularly well for this family of five as having enough counter space and storage was one of their main concerns.
